It is important that the person answering the call uses correct telephone etiquette and takes down the message accurately.
They can be used as part of or a whole lesson on telephone etiquette, which is an important customer service skill.
Instructions:
1. Use the Word document to make any changes to the scenarios. Go straight to 2 if no changes are required.
2. Print out as many copies of page 3 as you need. (Will depend on number of pairs).
3. Cut out with scissors or guillotine
4. Page 5 contains phone message pads. Use them to take messages.
To do the activity, all you need is two students, one with paper and pen for taking a message. Have your students sit back to back so they cannot use non-verbal cues to understand what their partner is saying. That way the role-play will be more like a real telephone conversation.

There are some time saving gems in here that can be easily implemented into your work day. There are also tasks that can be completed in pairs or groups. Lots of areas for discussion. Also a good opportunity for businesses to think about and discuss best practice for their own organisation.

Canva is an excellent, free, design tool that can save us time and money. It makes sense to use this instead of paying for expensive designers.
This step by step guide addresses the problem of not being able to create a transparent background logo in Canva (without paying). When the background is white or doesnāt match your document, it ends up looking unprofessional.
Solution:
ļ® The logo is created in Canva.
ļ® Once created and saved, we use a separate website to make the white background transparent.
ļ® It can then be used for multiple documents with ease and have that professional look to it.
This fun visual game can be used as a warm-up to a lesson on Health and Safety, or at the end of a lesson as a quick quiz.
How the game works:
The PowerPoint computer based game can be played in teams or as a group / class activity.
The objective is to reveal what is behind the numbers on the presentation, one square at a time.
Each team picks a number and answers a question. (Questions and answers are provided in the worksheet).
If they answer the question correctly, then they can click on a number on the PowerPoint presentation to display a portion (square) of the picture in the background. The background picture is slowly revealed.
The first team to identify the background picture wins.
